Frencheers was founded on the idea that learning French should be fun and accessible for everyone.

In 2024, I started Frencheers in my tiny apartment in Tokyo, Japan. As a French native living abroad, I immersed myself in learning Japanese through SRS apps, flashcards, and countless audio resources. My wife, a Japanese native eager to become proficient in French, shared my motivation for language learning.

She was struck by the quantity and quality of resources available to learn Japanese compared to French. This gap inspired me to create Frencheers. I wanted to build a tool that embraced the best of SRS learning—allowing users to make mistakes quickly and learn from them even faster.
